The Making of a Surgeon: Fighting Africa's Hidden Crisis

Where you’re born still decides if you survive.

In some parts of the world, specialised surgeons are everywhere. In others, they are almost nowhere.

When there is less than one trained surgeon for hundreds of thousands of people, access is not delayed. It’s denied.

The film follows Dr. Faustin Ntirenganya and a small group of surgeons working in a system stretched beyond its limits.

It’s a story about dedication, loss, responsibility โ€“ and what happens when help comes too late. This is their story.
